2014: RECAP

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it! IT'S THE LAST DAY OF 2014! The year has just flown by...I can't believe it! Here is a recap of all the things I have done that really mean something to me this year:

  1. I started my first book! Woah! I have written two before, but they were really terrible. :P This is going to be the first book I will finish with a nice conclusion and more than three chapters. I will also be editing officially for the first time.
  2. I discovered music. I have always grown up listening to a bit of music but never really took it seriously or taken the time to explore artists or different genres. This year, I have found more than 20 artists I really enjoy and admire immensely, especially Lindsey Stirling. she inspired me to start playing the violin, and through her I have discovered my instrument.
     3. I have grown closer to the Lord. Through several experiences he has comforted me and helped me through some difficult times in my personal life. I have known him since I was old enough to speak, but I have never really been serious about it. Now I am praying a lot more, and doing devotions. I hope I will grow even closer to him in 2015 and the other years to come.

Now, here are some resolutions for 2015:
1. Are there any Narnians out there who love it as much as me? I'm going to try to find out.

2. Finish my book. I really want to. I have been working on mine for about a year and I'm still not finished. Ahhhh!!!!

3. Learn to play some songs on my violin. I am learning to play my violin, but I don't know any songs yet.

4. Get a vocal teacher. It's so hard to find one in a area where I live in!!

So that's it. What are your goals for 2015? Memories from 2014?

P. S. For your enjoyment, a wonderful Narnian New Year edit. XD

Getting to Know Your Character(s)

Hi everyone!

So, I am definitely NOT a professional writer, but I wanted to share some tips on getting to know your book character. :) Knowing your character is important as you write your book because you need to know what they would do when put under certain circumstances, what they would say, and stuff like that.

So usually after I start writing the book a little bit I take the time to make a character profile for each of my major characters. In my book I have 6 major characters, not including my villain.

So, I start writing some things down about my character. Such as her age, her personality, her looks. What does she do in her spare time? Does she have family? What's a little bit of her past? Favorite color? What are her pet peeves?

Once you think you are finished, read through it. If you know you are finished, keep that page up on your computer and open up a new page with your WIP. Refer to this introduction page throughout the book and it will really help you in the end.

Another thing I like to do is write a small backstory for them. It's actually really fun! Write it in book form and you can make it as small or as big as you want. What does a regular day look like for your character? Try writing about your MC's childhood a bit. This also really helps you get to know MC even more with writing your book, and it's super fun! :D

So those are two ways I get to know my characters. Yours?

Book Review: Emily of New Moon

Hi everyone!

(WARNING: This post contains possible spoilers, so if you want to read Emily of New Moon but haven't yet and don't want any spoilers don't read this post.)

I finished reading the book Emily of New Moon the other day and I wanted to do a review on it. I'm not very good at book reviews. I'm better at weighing out the pros and cons of books. So that's what I am going to do today.
(AHHH! I can't find a summary online or my copy of the book! If I find it I'll edit this post with the summary)
-I feel it is better "well shaped" as you might say then Anne of Green Gables, (one of L.M. Montgomery's better known heroines). The characters are well-rounded and the plot is good.
-Emily had some experiences that I can relate to. Such as my first book and Emily's poems. I read through it now and wonder how I could have ever thought it any good, just as when Emily read through her poems.
-Ilse (one of Emily's friends) was really funny. She had a big temper and Emily and her would get into fights and then the next day Ilse would treat Emily like it never even happened. At first I thought Ilse was going to be like Anne, but she proved me wrong as the book progressed.
-The book surprised me. The people I thought would be Emily's best friends turned out to be her enemies and vice versa. Things like that.
-It was an all around good book! :D

-It was a little creepy. Which was fine for me, but if you get scared/disturbed easily I wouldn't recommend reading it. (i.e. when she hears "ghosts", when they find a body, etc.)
-I'm having a lot of trouble finding more cons XD

So, yeah, hope you enjoyed! I want to watch the series, I've heard it isn't at all like the book. Do you know if this is true or not?

Hi everyone!

So it was one of my family member's birthday on a day this month and we mad a cake! It's chocolate. Mmm. Here are some pictures:

It looks pretty when it's not lighted but it looks prettier when the candles are lighted:

Can you spot the space where I type my posts?

It was delicious. :3 I also took some birthday selfies but of course I can't share those. :P Bye!

How To: Paint Polka-Dots

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to be showing you how to paint polka-dots on your nails! It's super easy and fun! Let's get started.

For this project you will need:
  • Marble Dotting tool (I got my kit at Sally's Beauty Shop for about $5.)
  • Clear Nail Polish (you don't need need this, but it helps if you put it as a base coat and top coat to make it more shiny)
  • Two or three different colors of nail polish (you only need a third color if you want different colored polka-dots)
  • Napkin, old magazine, or paper plate

If you are putting on a base coat, do that first with the clear nail polish.

After the base coat has dried, take the color of nail polish you want and paint it like you would if you were just painting nails without dots. Let dry before going on to the next step.

Then, take the color(s) you want the polka-dots to be and put a little pool of it on the napkin/paper plate/magazine.

Dip your marbler into the nail polish,

{Check out the gingerbread house and Santa claus holder...ho ho ho XD}
And press it onto your nail. Do this several times until you have enough polka-dots, then repeat on the rest of your nails.
If you are doing a top coat, make sure you let the dots dry COMPLETELY before you paint it on. If they aren't dry enough, the dots smudge, and it makes it looks weird.

Let dry and your done! Hope you enjoyed the tutorial! :)

I am walking down the dark street. Now that my Grandfather is gone, my life isn't worth it anymore. Nobody loves me, nobody cares for me. I had run away taking nothing with me. One by one, tears trickle down my cheeks. I put my head down and my hands in my pockets, and trudging along I stare at the ground.
Suddenly I hear a car horn honk. I jerk my head up just in time to see a car coming straight towards me! I jump out of the way just in time. "Watch it, lady!" the driver yells at me as he whizzes past.
Then all is quiet.
I choke back a sob as I sit down at the side of the road and put my head in my hands. I hear a noise. I lift my head up to see a girl slip out of the shadows. Her face is pale, her lacy dress is white. She sits beside me and we stare up at the stars for awhile. Then she turns to face me.
"Tell me your troubles." she whispers softly.
And so I tell her it all. I tell it all to a complete stranger. I tell her how I have no home, how nobody cares for me or loves me, and how my grandfather has passed away.
"God cares for you." the girl says softly. "He made you. He loves you so much. He cares."
I turn my head the other way of the girl.
"Tell him your troubles. Pray. He listens." The girl stands up and slips back into the shadows.
I decide to try it. I close my eyes and pray. I tell Him all my troubles. As I do, tears stop slipping down my cheeks. I feel warm inside. A small smile replaces my frown as I finish with a silent "Amen".

You must hate me. XD

Yes, yes, yes, I changed my blog name AGAIN.

And yes I DID take the picture myself. I am definitely not happy with it but it will do until I make a better one. I just chose a picture and slapped some text on there. :P

Through The Wardrobe. It's so beautiful. *sniff* I think this is how it will stay unless I suddenly get an idea for a star trek themed name. Which I hopefully will not.

I edited it myself. I love it. ^_^

You know that LEGO: Friends series for girls? I used to be crazy about it so just for fun I put Susan's battle outfit on Lacie. XD

And yes I made this one also. I love it. My apologies McCoy

Winter Bucket List

Hello everyone!

First of all, I'm thinking of changing my blog name. Again. XD I'm trying to find the perfect name and Peanut Butter Girl is nice but I don't really think it fits if you know what I'm saying. Sorry. XP

Second, I got inspired by Eve at Eve of Womanhood to do a Winter bucket list. It was her idea and I give her full credit. Check out her lovely blog, you will not regret it! :) I just made a rhyme there, hehe.

Okay, so here is my Winter bucket list:

1. Build a Snowman.
I have never successfully made a snowman before - it's just too hard to put the last ball on the top and get the carrot to stay in. XD I want to make one this Winter.

2. Drink AT LEAST 20 mugs of hot cocoa before Winter ends.
I think I might have already finished this one, hehehe.

3. Make sugar cookies.
I want to make some for Christmas. :)

4. Make a gingerbread house.
We bought one of those pre-baked kits so I hope we can get around to that.

5. Take at least 7 winter pictures.
I want to practice my photography away from dolls as well, so this goal will help me get better at that. (I hope.)

6. Clean the whole house.

7. Do a Winter/Christmas SM.
I just started my new Youtube channel, (shinysilverags, SUBSCRIBE PLEASE) and I want to get into uploading more videos and stopmotions, (now that I have a tripod they are so much easier) and I want to make a Winter/Chistmas SM for it. :)

8. Finish my whole first history book my this semester.
I want to get it done - besides I have a whole other big fat book of lessons too. XP

The end!
Thanks everyone for reading, and again this idea was by Eve , and not me. :)

Beautiful Books #2

Hi everyone!

First of all, to check out what this is all about click the button down here:

Second of all, I know I'm taking a blogging break but I just had to do this and it only takes a matter of minutes so let's get started. :}

  1. Be honest: how is your writing going? I kind of feel like it's really slow going and I'm having a hard time getting to the little scenes I have planned ahead of time. Blahhh. But since this book isn't for NaNoWriMo I have all the time in the world to finish it so I'm good. I'm having a lot of fun writing this book, I'm really into it and I love the plot. So, overall pretty good. :)
  2. What’s your first sentence/paragraph? "The arrow hit the target."
  3. Do you have a book cover, and/or pictures that reflect your book? No I do not have  book cover. (Nooo) it would be cool if I could have a contest to see who can make the best book cover. (Idea) Pictures, I have a board on Pinterest of people who look like my characters, but they aren't mine. (Find me on Pinterest HERE)
  4. Do you have pictures of each of your characters? If not, describe them for us! (Be as descriptive as you can.) Well, they are not mine and they are all via Pinterest, but yes I do. Just view my Pinterest board Truenia. :)
  5. What scene are you most excited to write? The scene where Felicity has the one-on-one battle with Rowan (da evil prince).
  6. Share a snippet or a scene that you really enjoyed writing.
Felicity sat down and leaned against a tree trunk. “Where are you from?” she asked quietly.

Wills leaned against the same tree trunk. “North Dakota.”

Felicity gave him a puzzled look. “North Dakota?”

    “Yeah. It’s a state.”

“What’s a state?” Felicity asked quietly, wondering if this boy was in his right mind.

“Um, it’s a big piece of land within the United States of America.”

Felicity wondered if she had been paying attention well enough when she had been tutored. “The United States of...America?”

“Is that somewhere near the western edge of Usmyke?”

“It’s the continent near the western edge of the world.”
  7. Now that you're writing, have any of the plot details, or the process itself, turned out different from what you planned or imagined? Eyap.
  8. Is there a character or aspect of your plot that's difficult to write? Well it's basically like I said in the first question, it's a little slow moving and I'm having a bit of trouble getting the characters where I want them as far as like, you know, where I want them? Ugh, it sounded way better in my mind.
  9. What’s your favorite aspect of this novel so far? Favorite character? I'm not sure yet, and my favorite characters are probably Felicity and Wills. I love writing about them. :}
  10. Have you drawn off of any life experiences or people you know to create your novel and characters? (The numbers got messed up, sorry, lol) No.
  11. Do you have a playlist or certain song for your novel and/or characters? No, but I'm starting to think about making a playlist for my book. It's going to be fun. :)
  12. Let’s have some fun for a moment: imagine you are somehow transported into your book’s world. Which character are you most likely to be found hanging out with? I have like 7 different characters that I all really like (Except the evil prince, XD) but probably  Felicity.
  13. How do you keep yourself motivated to finish your daily wordcount? (Pinterest? Internet breaks? Chocolate?) I don't have a daily wordcount. Haha. But um if I'm like writing and then I suddenly am like, "I hate this book IDK if I want to write it anymore" I write character profiles or work on something fun about my book, or think about the sequel I want to make after or a short story with a Felicity/Wills romance or something like that, then I get motivated. :)
  14. What’s your favorite writing quote or piece of writing advice? It's better to write a bad first draft than no first draft at all. ~Will Shetterly
  15. How does this book make you feel so far? Are you laughing? Crying? Frustrated? I'm not sure. :P
Hope you all enjoyed reading this!

My picture no stealing! This is the flag when I was up really high and I could see the american flag that welcomes you...(no it doesn't it just blows there or is droppy bcuz there's no wind.) Yeah. Anyway, I zoomed in REALLY close and took a picture. It has a glare though. :( Oh, well. It's still kewl. :)

Sneak Peeks // Truenia

Hey everyone!

Unless you go on AIC (if you go on there you know what that stands for XD) and read the newspaper you have not yet read Truenia. Well I'm not ready to reveal the first chapter yet, but here are some sneak peeks of the book:

Piper lunged over and clapped her hand over Penelope’s mouth. “Really! That could be Rowan or another enemy!” Piper hissed.

They all stood, quiet. They heard a jiggling in the keyhole, and then the wooden door was thrown open. They sisters squinted from the little sunlight the trees in the wood allowed through. There stood a boy no more than 12, his face streaked with dirt. He held a key in his hand.

“W-w-who are you?” asked the boy. He was gripping his key so tightly that his knuckles were white. He kneeled down and looked into the hole.

Felicity was puzzled. How could he be from another world, if he was telling the truth? And if he was, how did he get there? By just touching a key?

But there was no time to ponder it now. Suddenly a piercing scream filled the air that made Wills jerk. Felicity jumped onto her feet and hugged Wills without thinking. Wills looked at Felicity awkwardly and Felicity jumped back and brushed her skirt off quickly, clearing her throat.

Do you like those scenes? Would you be interested in reading the book? :)

OMViolinstrings! My violin is finally here! :D I got one a couple weeks ago and it just got here today.

Here is the case! Eee!

Here it is! (BTW, it looks like it's leaning against a tree trunk but it's actually a rock, lol)

So, yeah. Thanks for reading. XP

Ramblings XP

Okay so first of all.

UPtv is coming  out with this new show called BRINGING UP BATES.

I've seen them a few times on 19 Kids and counting, a reality show. I was thinking how they should have their own show.

Now they've got it! I am so excited to watch it! :3

Anyway, yeah.
So I was watching Trouble With Tribbles. I have watched it before and this snippy guy Nilz Barris, I knew I had seen him from SOMEWHERE. Well yeah, I was watching it again and BAM. It hits me. THIS DUDE IS CARSON DREW!!

Hahaha, I can just see the look on his face. "Primitive doorknobs."

JK, I know he's an actor. He is the same actor (William) who plays Nancy's father, Carson drew, in Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries TV show. (I love that show because I can just plop down on the couch and watch it. It's still exciting but not all like throw punch there, knock out a person there...) anyway,  yeah. that was weird. Sorry.

Alright let's watch this cool video, Write Your Story.

That's it. Bye. :3

Owl City and other Stuff :P

Hi everyone!

This is a seriously jumbled up post. I am tired of trying to sound sane so I will just be my crazy self from now on. That's why it's jumbled up

Ok I am crying right now. Owl City did a new christian single with Britt Nicole and it's the best one he has done yet. I love how Adam Young is so deep in the christian faith. :)

Listen to the song here:

OK. So. Yeah. Now what was I going to do? Right! Adaline at AG in the Shire nominated me for the uh, right! Blogger Recognition award! Tanks, Adaline!

Let's get started here:

HAHAHA! Oops, that's not the picture.
Here we go! Don't you just love that picture? :D
See the original rules and stuff HERE. :)

*Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and link to their blog. List who you've nominated in the post.
*Make sure to also attatch the award itself! (You can do this by right clicking, saving, and uploading the image.)

*Comment on each blog and let them know you've nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created.

*Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night. That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing! (It happens LOL.)

For this award, you must nominate 15 peeps. You can't just go I nominate this blog whoever wants it comment below blablabla. You can decline the award also if you do not want to do the UGH WHY WON'T MY BRAIN PROCESS

Alright so this is how my blog started:
I already had 2 main blogs, American Girls and Books and Story Central. Story Central getting posted on and the posts I did post were terrible. Anyway, I made a blog called Disney Fans 4 Ever because I have tons of disney pictures and wanted to share them. :) Well, that lasted for a couple of posts, and then I transformed it into "The Fangirl Blog". I realized that I was so much more enthusiastic about posting there than Story Central. So I left Story Central and "The Fangirl Blog" became the new Story central.

Soon I remembered the idea for the blog "Peanut Butter Girl" that I had thought of renaming Story Central a couple years ago. It was from a book called "Peanut Butter Friends in a Chopped-Suey World" (sounds wierd, but it is awesome book about a missionary family. READ IT.) that I loved. Plus, it was a crazy name that fit my crazy fangirlneieeey personality. And so, now here we have Peanut Butter Girl. :D

So that's my blog story. Now here is my tip for new bloggers:
It's not about numbers and pageviews. Of course, those are good, but it's more about the enjoyment of blogging is why you should blog. Sharing your passion and having fun writing is why you should start a blog. If you keep posting good posts about the things you love, you'll find you'll get a lot more pageviews and followers way faster. :D

Ok now I will nominate 15 awesome people :-O

Thanks for reading awesome peeps!
