The Chronicles of Narnia - Ramblings

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to ramble on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about The Chronicles of Narnia, a book series I love. You've probably read at least one of the books or seen one of the movies, yes?

I've read four books in the series and am working on the fifth one. AMAZING! I love these books!

To make it seem even more realistic, I highly recommend Focus on the Family's Radio Theater productions of the books. They are really good and use different people as voices for each of the characters, there is background music and sound effects (footsteps, screams, etc.). It's really good. I've listened to a bit of the one from 'The Magician's Nephew' and it actually felt like I was there. (Which was scary! LOL) Once I finish the books I'm going to listen to that.

On an online design website I made Lucy the Valiant's shirt (complete with her crystal bottle :) )

My favorite is probably Susan.

Thank you for reading my ramblings about NARNIA!

So I remembered that I promised all of you pictures of Philadelphia, (I forgot them for a while XP) while I was posting something on one of my other blogs. So, here they are! :)

A picture from the Hard Rock Cafe. It was cool and the food was good but the music videos they had there were terrible! Except for the Taylor Swift ones. ;-)

The sign.

Pictures from the Sky Bridge. The Marriott had two separate buildings and we were on the separate one, so we got to cross a really cool bridge pretty high above the street called the sky bridge, which connected the two buildings. Super cool!

A picture from the other side. (The guitar on the hard rock cafe is the second biggest in the states!)

Independence Hall!

Here is a pretty plate from one of the displays all leading up to...

*trumpets sound* THE LIBERTY BELL! So cool, uh-huh. (Ugh, another person's hand got in the way. 9_9)

Better picture (no hands!).

This park was right next to where we were staying. I can't remember what the pillars or the round ball mean, but

this thing is supposed to represent the sun!

From inside the Betsy Ross house. (It's not the first american flag, mind you)

This is the actual chair where the REAL George Washington SAT!! AHHHH!!! *scream*

Aaand another picture from outside. :)
So, that's my trip to Philly! Hope you enjoyed.

So I'm really happy with her, she will be on my nick-knacks shelf, but she will be taken down a lot. I hope I can get more pictures of her and maybe a photostory for ya'll soon!

Thanks for reading!

Tears ran down my cheeks, freezing them in the cold air. I didn't care. I just kept running.

They were gone. They were really gone. I never thought this day would come.

The day was as bitter as my heart felt, gloomy and misty. A slow but steady shower of snow was falling.

The only thing I could save from the fire I was wearing. My shirt, my jeans, boots and a black wool cape. It flew behind me, not really helping to save me from the stinging cold feeling that the wind brought. But I didn't care. I didn't care about anything anymore. Except that my parents - were gone.

Here shrill voice pierced through the silent evening like a hot knife through butter. "You are coming with us. You are ours now." she said. She stared at me with her beady green eyes.

I turned. "NO!" I screamed. "I won't let you take me!"

"You won't, will you?" she replied tauntingly, and then started coming closer to me. I started backing up. I knew what she was after. But I would not do it. I turned back around and fled. I kept running and running and running, but the more I ran the closer the footsteps behind me seemed to get. Finally, I turned my head, but my pace slowed when I did it. She finally caught up to me, and gave me a nasty grin. Yanking me and holding me there, she made a grab for my necklace. I ducked, but the string that held it around my head popped. And it was hers.

She threw me down on the ground, knocking the wind out of me for a few seconds. I jumped up. "NO!" I screamed for the second time that evening.  She just looked at me and gave me that stare, and then fastened the necklace around her neck. Then she made a break for it. I started running, but then stopped. What was the point? She had all power now.

More tears welled in my eyes. I dropped on my knees to the ground, and sobbed openly. It was hopeless.
My story for a writing contest. The judge likes sad stories, so I made this, What do you think?

Mandisa, and TMAC. xD

So I was listening to Mandisa 'Overcomer' (look up there :P) and she sung 'T-mac on the radio'. How cool is that?! xD

I know this is a super short post but my pictures are on the other computer, so. :-)
