Everyday Makeup Routine - July 2016

I thought I'd do a post about what I usually use as far as makeup everyday. Let's get into it! :)

First I put on this L'Oreal Cushion Foundation. (Found at CVS. I'm not spending a bunch of money on high-end makeup products when I can get things just as good at the drugstore. xD) I think the way you use a sponge to get the makeup is a really unique idea, I do have to flip the sponge over sometimes to actually get the makeup on the applier though.

I got this at Sephora along with like, one other thing. Anywho. Next I put some eye brightener under my eyes and rub it in with my fingers because once again, not going to spend $20.00 on a blender when I have these perfectly capable fingertips.

Third, I put on a blemish stick where it's needed. I can't show a picture of it because I'm not exactly sure where it's from. My mom gave it to me a long time ago, and it doesn't say the brand anywhere on the packaging. :P

Fourth, I put on my L'Oreal True Match Blush, but in a pinkier shade then the one in the picture.

I don't use eye makeup because 1) I'm 12, 2) I have to force myself to even take off my normal makeup at night and it would be such a hassle to take off all that mascara. I do wear eyeshadow occasionally, but not everyday. Tan or silver at the most.

For my lipstick, I have A LOT of different ones I use. My favorite is my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, but the one I'm wearing today is my second thing I got from Sephora, the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie in "Miss Popular". :)

Finally, I set it all with my makeup setter spray thinger magicer. I just got it a couple days ago, and it does a really nice job of holding everything throughout the day. I do still have to reapply my lipstick a couple times, but the blush and foundation stays nicely! I forget what brand it is. I think it's Mabelline or something.

So yeah, that's how I usually do my makeup! Thank you everyone for reading! :D

It's Show Time - Tag

I was tagged by both Faith and Rebekah to do the "It's Show Time" tag! Thank you both! :)

William Moseley (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Skandar Keynes (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader)
Gregory Peck (Roman Holiday, To Kill a Mockingbird)

I have way more than one, hehe...

Georgie Henley she's also on my profile picture on most of my social media, it isn't me xD  (The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Jane Eyre 2006)
Anna Popplewell (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader)
Abigail Breslin (Kit: An American Girl Mystery, Nim's Island, and she was also in a movie with Georgie Henley I haven't watched [don't plan to] but I just thought I'd mention it - Perfect Sisters).
Susan Dey (The Partridge Family, Little Women 1978)

I love Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind, and I've seen half of Laputa: Castle in the Sky - so I guess that too? Oh, The Boxcar Children is also amazing! As well as Tangled and Pocahontas

Homade popcorn, smothered in tons of butter!

I'll watch anything and everything except horror.

*takes long, deep breath* Star Trek: TOS, Star Trek: Voyager, The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, The Donna Reed Show, Leave it to Beaver, among other things. :P

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha this is a really hard question. I bet you guys have no idea what my favorite movie is. Hahahahahahaha. *coughs*

Well, Finding Dory just came out and I can't wait to see that! I also really want to see Access All Areas after it comes out - once I screen it and make sure it is okay to watch of course. As well as The Silver Chair! IT IS COMING OUT SOMETIME DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT'S NOT IN MY PRESENCE.

The Mighty Macs is really good! I recommend it!

Ummmm, not sure, actually. It was either Muppets: Most Wanted or The Lego Movie

I tag....

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

Houses (or; why I don't like HGTV)

Pinterest is really bad for me. All these pictures of gorgeous bedrooms and perfectly clean, newly remodeled kitchens and up-to-date living rooms make me want all these things I just can't have.

YouTube is bad for me - especially with YouTubers like Brooklyn and Bailey (not hating on them, love their videos, just giving an example). When I see how many times they have updated their room over the last 3 years (around once a year) it makes me really, really want to update mine.

Minimalist/decluttering blogs are actually bad for me. While they are supposed to motivate you and make you see what your house can be if you just get rid of enough stuff, let's face it, my bedroom will never look exactly like theirs.

HGTV is really bad for me. I never really liked this channel in the first place, but whenever I watch something like House Hunters or Property Brothers it's the same old thing.
-Clean lines.
-Open concept.
-Huge master bedroom.
-Vaulted ceilings.
-Walk-in closets.
-Granite countertops.

It makes you feel like if you don't have these things, you need to remodel immediately. I mean, look at all those renovation shows. Not open concept? Ooooh, horrible, ooooohhhhhhh, look at this master bedroom without a master bathroom ahhhhhhh how horrible, look at these carpeted floors WHAT IS LIFE CARPETED FLOORS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE WORLD IS ENDING.

I dunno, I just think shows like this exist just to make you feel guilty about your own house because it's not "up-to-date" and to get you to spend more money. :P

I guess my point is:

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' " -Hebrews 13:5

If you don't have the money to re-do your bedroom or update your kitchen, that's okay.

8 Favorite Minecraft Servers

Yes, I play Minecraft. Two years ago my sister got the PC edition, and I wasn't really interested, but then she showed me a few Minecraft YouTubers and then I proceeded to binge-watch practically all of their videos and then I decided to try out the game for myself. :-)

(I'm LydiaKirk421 on MC and Curse, if you ever need someone to play with. xD).

So I decided to make a list of 10 of my favorite Minecraft servers. Here we go:

MINEPLEX - You seriously just cannot play Minecraft PC without having played Mineplex. It's probably one of the biggest Minecraft servers. It's not my favorite server ever, but I really enjoy Speed Builders and Turf Wars. :3

HYPIXEL - The first server I ever played on, it's also my favorite minigame server! I love their TNT Games (especially bow spleef), and Hypixel Says is also super fun. It's really relaxing to play that game for me, not sure why.

HELLOMINERS - This is a fun roleplay/economy server, with lots of shops and apartments. You can even build a city yourself!

POPCRAFT - This is a semi-vanilla Minecraft survival server. It has a fun, cozy, community feel and very friendly members.

JUMPCRAFT - I love parkour so I was so excited when I discovered this one! It has almost endless parkour courses to try out - my personal favorite has to be the TARDIS or Pokemon themed ones.

MCMagic - This is literally the coolest server ever - it's pretty much Disney World in Minecraft. I've been to the real-life one and it's extremely accurate. They have so many amazing rides and shops and resorts that you can stay at! You can tell the owners put so much work into it!

MC EDEN - It's owned by Yammy. It's creative and space prison are great!

THE HIVE - Death Run, BlockParty and TheLab are some of the most popular games. I'm horrible at Death Run tbh. xD

So yeah, those are my top 8 Minecraft servers! Thanks for reading, everyone!

A Novel Idea - 1

I'm participating in the weekly linkup "A Novel Idea" hosted by Sky at Further Up and Further In and Ashley at Ashley Aspires. If you want to learn more about this linkup or participate, you can check it out by clicking the button above. :-)

This week's theme is telling about my writing style/what I like to write.

My writing style is different at different times. When I first started writing my stories were all upbeat and happy and didn't have anything sad about them at all. Then my first full book started going in the cliche YA direction, which is eventually why I stopped writing it. I'm actually not really sure what my writing style is right now. It really depends on the book I'm writing.

One novella I have written for a message board I go on is quite slowly-paced, with a sad note to it and it's very descriptive. It's a little mellow-dramatic. But that's definitely not my overall writing style.

A book series I'm writing is really more for comedy then for anything super serious. There are lots of sarcastic comments and jokes. It does have action in it, but I definitely wouldn't call it an "adventure" series.

So I think it really depends on the book that I'm writing. I can change my tone to whatever fits the plot and story of the book quite easily. :-)

That about wraps it up! What do you think?

Social Media

Hey guys!

In case you haven't noticed the social media buttons under my profile picture at the top of my blog sidebar, (and I do have some social media I can't fit on there) here is an entire and full list of all of my social media accounts. :D

Etsy (Mostly I use it for finding vintage books, sewing patterns and old clothing. I rarely/never buy anything and I don't have a shop. :D)
